Oculus Rift will officially launch at UK and European retail stores on September 20, making the device available to a mainstream audience at locations including John Lewis, Curry’s PC World, GAME and Harrods. Online retail giant Amazon is also taking pre-orders(?).
Pre-orders can be placed from today priced £549, which includes VR platformer Lucky’s Tale, along with hundreds of free 3D 360 videos and VR movies.
Oculus is also expanding the availability of the Oculus Rift demo experience across Europe and Canada, with more than 600 demo locations planned across the US, Canada and Europe by the autumn. Demo titles include The Climb, VR film Henry, the planetary experience Farlands, and the Oculus Dreamdeck.
